Have you ever been faced with financial hardship of some sort? Have you ever been to the end of the month and there’s simply no more money? When you start worrying about whether or not you’re going to have enough money to make it to the end of the month, I can pretty much promise you, you’ will run out of money. That’s just the way it is. When you worry about not having enough you are feeding your C.A.T. (counter-productive attitudes and thoughts). But, have you ever taken the time to grab a legal pad and a pen and truly plan the use of your money? Now, that’s an interesting concept, isn’t it?
It is so important for us to live our lives intentionally instead of reactively. We need to learn to live for today, by planning for the future. Most people, when they make a mistake with money they rarely take the time to figure out what they should have done differently. Most times they don’t stop to learn the lesson. We need to learn from our mistakes. Those are our best lessons. Don’t feed your C.A.T. by dwelling on the negative side of the mistake, focus on the value of the lesson so you do not repeat the it.
Here’s the point, if you don’t have the financial resources you truly desire in your life, are you feeding your C.A.T. or, are you focused on what you can do to change your situation for the better? Feeding your C.A.T. typically means you’re stuck, but focusing on what you can change to improve your position means you are taking positive actions that will make a difference in your life.
Are you feeding your C.A.T. or are you focused on your future prosperity and abundance? It’s a simple decision.
This is Tim Burgess.
Don’t feed the C.A.T.
